Synopsis
Walker Farr, an educated, enigmatic wanderer with road-worn clothes and a sharp, playful wit, roams the New England countryside as a voluntary vagabond. After brushing off suspicious constables, he lends a helping hand to a stranded automobile party, immediately clashing with an arrogant young dandy while catching the earnest, captivating gaze of Kate Kilgour. That fleeting encounter sparks an obsession, but Farr’s idyllic wandering soon gives way to a darker reality when he reaches a bustling mill town gripped by corporate greed and political corruption. With a tainted municipal water supply threatening the lives of the working poor, this mysterious man on foot trades carefree detachment for an impassioned moral crusade. Blending whimsical rural charm with high-stakes social drama, Farr must stand up against entrenched power to champion the vulnerable and win the heart of the woman he cannot forget.
