Synopsis
Twenty years have passed since the daring exploits that forged four legendary swordsmen into brothers in arms. France now teeters on the edge of civil rebellion. Under the shadow of the Fronde, the hated Cardinal Mazarin rules alongside Queen Anne, desperately trying to protect the young Louis XIV from a mutinous Paris. Isolated and besieged by political intrigue, Mazarin needs ruthless, dependable blades. He summons D’Artagnan, still a valiant lieutenant in the King's Musketeers, and tasks him with reuniting his old comrades: the noble Athos, the wealthy Porthos, and the ambitious Aramis. But two decades have fundamentally altered the companions, scattering them into vastly different lives and setting them on perilous, opposing sides of a fracturing kingdom. Bound by lingering affection yet divided by dangerous loyalties, the legendary quartet must navigate royal deception and lethal conspiracies in a gripping tale of swordplay, statecraft, and enduring brotherhood.
