The Murder on the Links Completed

When an urgent plea arrives from northern France, Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and his companion Captain Arthur Hastings race to the seaside resort of Merlinville-sur-Mer. Their wealthy client, Paul Renauld, fears for his life, but Poirot arrives too late to save him. Renauld lies murdered—stabbed in the back and discarded in a freshly dug grave on a new golf course adjoining his villa. The local authorities are baffled, but matters grow more complicated when Paris sends its own star investigator, Detective Giraud. Arrogant and wedded to physical clues, Giraud challenges Poirot to a duel of wits, pitting forensic tracking against the power of the little grey cells. Meanwhile, Hastings finds his heart entangled with an enigmatic young woman who may be dangerously close to the crime. Full of sharp rivalry, romantic tension, and clever puzzles, this classic mystery showcases Poirot at his finest.
