Synopsis
When an eager young governess arrives at the secluded country estate of Bly, she expects an idyllic retreat caring for two orphaned siblings, Flora and Miles. Captivated by their charms and the tranquil grounds, she initially relishes her newfound independence. Soon, however, the peaceful atmosphere gives way to dread. Chilling figures appear along the estate towers and across the silent grounds. The sinister apparitions of former servants refuse to rest, casting a dark pall over the house. As the governess becomes convinced that these malevolent spirits are stalking the children, the line between supernatural terror and psychological obsession blurs. Isolated from the world and desperate to protect her charges, she finds herself locked in a tense, agonizing struggle for their souls. Masterfully ambiguous and deeply unsettling, this classic tale builds unbearable suspense where every shadow threatens to unravel sanity.
